How can you help PAWS?
Work in the PAWS/Tulsa Animal Shelter spay/neuter clinic every other Saturday.
  • Assist with surgeries
  • Draw up vaccinations
  • Comfort animals (recovery) after surgery
  • Assist with movement of animals (may require heavy lifting)
  • Assist with check-ins and check-out with owners

Assist Education Coordinator with duties.
  • Computer work
  • Mailings
  • Appearances
  • Ordering education material
  • Foster animals in your home
  • Sometimes they are injured animals that require medication
Show animals at adoption events
  • Petsmart @ 41st & Yale-Tulsa
  • Petsmart @ 71st & 169-Tulsa (every other Sunday from 11-4 p.m.)

Assist foster coordinator with duties:
  • Computer work, data entry
  • Phone calls, delivery of traps
Transport of animals to/from adoption events, vet clinics, etc.

Assist Shelter Friends with volunteer orientations, paperwork, etc.

Assist with grant-writing activities

Assist with the development of the Seniors for Seniors program

Assist with the development of the new program at Groomingdales.

    Please note:
  • The minimum age is 18 to work for the spay/neuter clinic on Saturdays at the shelter or to be a shelter volunteer.
  • Dependable transportation is a necessity.
